Expression of Interest: BMX Track Management Partner / Club Development
One of our key projects has been the restoration of the competition standard BMX track located onsite. Over the past 18 months, we’ve made steady progress in bringing the track back into safe and usable condition. While there’s still work to be done and further funding required, we’re pleased to now be hosting regular coaching sessions delivered by qualified local BMX coaches.
At 400 metres in length, with 3 raised bends and an advanced “pro straight” middle section of 8 large jumps, the track is suitable for complete beginners to the sport of BMX, up to professional level riders.
We’re inviting expressions of interest from the wider BMX community in Torbay and South Devon
We want to hear from individuals or groups with BMX experience who may be interested in forming a new, independent organisation or working group to take on the day-to-day management of the BMX track at Parkfield

Help Us Restore the Track
However – since People’s Parkfield took over the track from the council in 2023, it was clear the track had been insufficiently maintained, and it is sadly now closed and unsafe to use.
People’s Parkfield are now seeking urgent funds – in the region of £100,000 – to complete all the required work to bring the track back to life. We need your help to make this happen! Please go to our donations page, or click the link below, to be taken to our Crowdfund page. Any donations are gratefully received.
