South West's BMX Hub
People’s Parkfield is home to the only full competition size BMX track in the South West.
At 400 metres in length, with 3 raised bends and an advanced “pro straight” middle section of 8 large jumps, the track is suitable for complete beginners to the sport of BMX, up to professional level riders.
The track is home to Torbay BMX Club who have worked tirelessly over the years to get our local community involved in the sport. With an age range of members spanning from 5 to 60, there are opportunities for all ages and abilities to enjoy this sport and live an active lifestyle. Over the years the club has also hosted National Series BMX events, attracting visitors to Paignton from all over the UK. It is a fantastic community asset with huge potential.
Help Us Restore the Track
However – since People’s Parkfield took over the track from the council in 2023, it was clear the track had been insufficiently maintained, and it is sadly now closed and unsafe to use.
People’s Parkfield and Torbay BMX club are now seeking urgent funds – in the region of £100,000 – to complete all the required work to bring the track back to life.
